ACER BIOS UPDATE VERIFY ERROR First time I hear about such problem but it seems that the BIOS your laptop originally came with is NOT configured properly or there is a problem with the.
I have the same model laptop and the same problem I cannot get much info anywere.
I was wondering if you could lead me to the recovery cd you use to repair your laptop.
LED beside the little light icon when left for longer than 10 seconds or so when you press the power button.
When you Turn on my acer 5315 laptop a blank black screen comes up after the acer logo appears.
Well i started with using the preloaded restore to factory defults and I got an error message at about 99 percent.
Right after clicking start I get a Verify Error and the sytem freezes and is a dead unit.
They are also saying they are not responsible for anything downloaded from their web site.
When I try to boot to XP the splash screen comes up for a couple of seconds and the the computer reboots.
GHZ Radeon Xpress 1100 hyperMemory 1 GB DDr2 It has vista home premium preinstalled.
Now my laptop have dead because im update the BIOS firmware on windows vista platform.
I have not tried safe mode yet but in normal it just goes back to that screen again.
I updated the BIOS via bootable DOS Fdd after reading things here and knowning that it was not possible via x64 Vista.
I have tried reinstalling windows but when i get to the hard drive section the hard drive is not there although its there in the boot screen.
I have tried re installing the bios with the phoenix recovery tool but that didnt work.
I have tried force powering it off by unplugging the power and unplugging the battery.
I have installed the Realtek HD Audio driver and removed it a number of times but no sound at any time.
The sitcks are installed correctly and ive even tried swapping the order of the sitcks in the slots and i still have this problem.
I try and charge the battery from the PSU plugged in nothing happens and the battery is starting to drain.
It takes like 2 hours for it to finally stay connected so we called Verizon and they said we have to change from the eNet management to windows.
Acer Aspire 5315 with the Mobile Intel GMA X3100 in it as standard on the motherboard.
So the 1st one went great and was done through Acers auto flash tool under the windows xp environment.
FN key and then hit the power button to boot into the backdoor reflash crysis tool.
If anyone could shed some light on this I would be extremely greatful as I would like to get this up and running again.

So do not be surprised if you find both company names together on the BIOS setup screen.
Please read the README files from your Mainboard manufacturer or PC manufacturer.

Hey i think i am unable to make the crisis disk right and that my procedure is wrong.
Acer says the only way to remedy this Bios problem is to ship my computer to them to fix it.
When i put it on the light fan comes on and angen gets off and stars fan light and works but i doen get display both the times and its on with blank screen.
My laptop stopped working suddenely and im using the net now from another computer.
I can not know the version for my bios since i can not access my laptop and bios window and i dont know which bios version should i downlaod.
I recommends that you should only upgrade your BIOS if you have problem with your laptop and upgrade BIOS is the only thing that will solve your problem.
